The 4010, 4110 and 4115 are built in Japan by Yanmar. The 4210 and up are built in Georgia with Yanmar engines.
I am sure you know that as the numbers get bigger, the tractors get heavier and more powerful.
What you may not know is the 40/41's just might be the most reliable, trouble free compact tractors on the planet.
I could be wrong, but I can't remember anyone with a 4100, 4110 or a 4115 ever complaining about serious warranty or mechanical problems on this board.
If I have that wrong I suspect someone will pop up and tell me.

grinder, I will take a shot at this. In addition to the above said.
The 4010 (18 hp),4110 (20hp), & 4115 (24 hp) are small frame CUT's.
4210 (28 hp), 4310 (32 hp), & 4410 (35 hp) medium frame CUT's.
4510 (39 hp), 4610 (44 hp), & 4710 (48 hp) are large frame CUTS.
The 4110, 4310, and 4610 are more or less the value buys for the hp & capability gotten for the dollar spent.
The 4410 has more torque than any other 4000 Ten series tractor except for the 4710.
The 4210 and up tractor come with ehydro as an option (REAL nice as far as user friendly but pricey) The ehydro will add about $2400 to the price on all the tractors except for the 4410 & 4710 it is about $1200.
Personally of the small frame tractors I like the 4115 but they make a big price jump for the 4 hp & slightly larger frame, I like the 4410 in the medium frame class but cannot justify the extra approx. $1500 for 3 hp and 8 ft/lbs. torque, the sames holds true for the 4710 with the 4610 being the best bang for the buck here.
Check out the John Deere web site for some of the other details as far as hyd. pump capacity, impliments, etc. They also have spec sheet you can download in excel format to compare.
I think if I go on I am already out of the nutshell size. So, this was in a coconut? ;-) ....

Hi, I just sold my 1996 JD 955 with 60" loader & 60" mid mount mower. I am looking to buy the JD 4410 ehydro with the 73" loader & 72" mid mount mower or the JD 4610 ehydro set up the same way. I was thinking of the larger tractor, but I tried out a 4510 and was no impressed with the speed of the loader compared to my JD 955 and the new 4410. The 4410 is much quicker. I still want to mow my lawn with the new tractor. The way I set up my lawn for mowing, the size of the tractor is not going to be a problem. I have a small business that I could use a set of pallet forks, so I was thinking of the larger tractor. Also I have 210 acre wood lot that we use for hunting and recreation, so we are always building and maintaining trails and I have another parcel of property that is vacant farm land that I am mowing about 24 acres. I have truck and trailer large enough to handle either size tractor. My thoughts are, the larger tractor weight may cause problems mowing the lawn in the early spring when the ground is still wet. I like my turf tires on the 955 and the new tractor I would get the turf tires as well. The larger tractor and more horse power would be benifical when mowing the larger fields, I am also thinking of putting the JD48 backhoe on the new tractor. Either tractor takes the same bucket , mid mount mower and the same backhoe. I was all set on the JD 4610 until I tried the speed of the front loader, it is much slower than that of the 4410. Any imput would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou, John ....

That is a bit unexpected as the 4710 has 15.9 gpm hyd pump capacity vs. 13.9 for the 4410. The 460 loader requires more hyd. capacity but both should not perform all that differently speed wise. I will have to check the specs. in my JD FEL manual. ....
